Dream Title: See You In Court

Dreamer: Bonnie M. Wells

Date of Dream: August 31st, 2003

I dreamed....

*Annamay came to my house, marched in as if she owned the place and parked herself across the kitchen table from me.

I could tell by the stern look on her face that the visit was not to reminisce about old times.

Just as I started to speak, she interrupted me with...

"I just came here to give you fair warning, you're going to court.

We finally got what we need against you, and you're going to court." She flipped.

Her blunt rudeness threw me off guard for a few seconds, but when I recovered, I replied....."Okay ... but why? What have you "got" on me, how did you get "it," and why am I going to court?"

"You've been running your damned mouth to *Joan, and we got it all on tape. And Joan is real good at cutting and splicing," she bragged.

"Well," I replied, "it's been several months since I spoke to Joan on the phone, and I can't recall saying anything that I wouldn't have said to anyone who wanted to hear it. I told no lies; misrepresented no facts, so I don't know what you think you've got, but whatever it is, I'm sure you'll be more than happy tell me." I said."

"You're going to be sued for the things you said, especially the comment you made about being able to manipulate things enough to frame anyone you wanted to for murder, even Judge *R." she threatened.

"But, dear old friend,"  I stammered. “I don't recall ever saying that to Joan, but if I did, I was probably telling what the {elected official} said to you in your office in February of 1996.

It was he who told you that he could manipulate things enough to, ... not frame.... he didn't say "frame" ... he said...make anyone look guilty of murder, even Judge R.

You drove down here that same evening and told me what the man had said to you.

Don't you remember that?

Don't you remember us discussing it and you asking me why I thought he'd say such a thing to you, especially about the judge?

Remember, he was telling you how he had no use for me; didn't respect me and didn't believe in psychics? That's why his statement sounded so out of place. Don't you remember?" I questioned.

She looked a little too smug as she replied, "Oh yes, but no one knows that except us. On the tape it sounds like your words, and that's what the jury will hear."

I looked down at the kitchen table.

Deep inside I could feel the burning anger, but on the outside I was as cool, calm and collected as I'd ever been. I arched an eyebrow and looked back up at the woman who had claimed to be my friend. And the look on her face was priceless when my words sunk in!

"Did you not realize that I was well aware that every word spoken to Joan was going directly to you? The jury will hear a lot more than you're counting on, because there are two sets of tapes and mine have never been cut, spliced or altered in any way! Guess I'll see you in court.."

end of dream:

Comments:

The really bizarre thing about the above dream is that it is actually based upon facts that have already occurred. The people in the dream....me and the other woman really did have a conversation in February of 1996 concerning exactly what I dreamed. According to her, the elected official actually discussed me with her, and she really did come to my house that evening and tell me the things he'd supposedly said to her.

One of those things was the statement about how he could manipulate things enough to make anyone appear guilty of murder,... even a judge! To be honest, I only about half believed the woman at the time. I could imagine that this official would accuse me of manipulating things.....times, names, places, events, etc....but I had difficulty even then believing he'd say that he could make an innocent person appear guilty of murder. I honestly thought he was accusing me of manipulating things and I was offended. I'd worked very hard to make sure all my information was correct, and that there had been no changes made just because they made it appear that I was right.

In those early days of 1996 I was so sure that I'd located the killer of some of our women. The cases had remained unsolved for years and years, and I thought law enforcement would appreciate any tips they could get. I was wrong.

The first thing I knew I was being accused of lying on a poor innocent man; manipulating things to make him appear guilty. There was one thing the elected official never took into consideration.

If nothing had been altered or manipulated, then I was 100% on target! My suspect did look guilty as hell.

Well, I'm here, all these years later to tell the world the same thing I said in 1996.

I changed nothing; manipulated nothing; told no lies and stretched no truths. If my information made the man in question appear guilty of murder, then someone should have investigated him a long time ago because most of the cases remain unsolved and he continues to roam our streets.

Now why this dream came to me seven and a half years "after the fact," I have not a clue. But I do know what it reminds me of. It reminds me of a man who is sitting in prison for murdering his wife.

His name is Jackie McCrady. Until accused of murder, he was a State Trooper ... former Trooper of the Year! He insisted he didn't kill his wife.

There was a tape played in court. Whether it had been "cut and spliced" or not, I don't know. But I can say this much, I heard absolutely nothing on that tape that was incriminating.

Jackie McCrady was convicted in August of 1997. He'd been sitting behind bars since October of 1996.

Lifetime TV aired The Trooper's Wife some four years after McCrady was convicted.

Talk about manipulation and distortions of truth! I heard more half- truths, and distortions of facts told in that television program than I've ever heard in my life.

And all the dream does is remind me of what Jackie McCrady's attorney said in his opening statements.....

"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my client was framed."

I wondered by who. Of course it wasn't me that bragged seven months in advance that I could make anyone {even someone with higher rank than myself!} appear guilty of murder... no sir, that was not me.

Those were never my words!
