Suspicious Death Ruled Homicide

Parkersburg, West Virginia:

Police have just announced they are in the middle of a murder investigation.

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008, family members found the body of 78 year old, Ruth *Deloris Robinson at her home at 2204, 16th Street.

Originally authorities said the death was suspicious and sent her body for an autopsy.

Those results came back today, and Chief Gerald Board says she was murdered.

June 3rd, 2008

I decided to come back to this page and add the lyrics to the song Mrs. Robinson, as well as a little bit of information that I have gained in the past few weeks.

First the song:

And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson

Jesus loves you more than you will know, wo wo wo

God bless you please, Mrs. Robinson

Heaven holds a place for those who pray, hey hey hey

Hey hey hey

We'd like to know a little bit about you for our files

We'd like to help you learn to help yourself

Look around you, all you see are sympathetic eyes

Stroll around the grounds until you feel at home

And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson

Jesus loves you more than you will know, wo wo wo

God bless you please, Mrs. Robinson

Heaven holds a place for those who pray, hey hey hey

Hey hey hey

Hide it in a hiding place where no one ever goes {{Leah Hickman}}

Put it in your pantry with your cupcakes

It's a little secret, just the Robinsons' affair

Most of all you've got to hide it from the kids

Coo coo ca-choo, Mrs. Robinson

Jesus loves you more than you will know, wo wo wo

God bless you please, Mrs. Robinson

Heaven holds a place for those who pray, hey hey hey

Hey hey hey

Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon

Going to the candidates' debate

Laugh about it, shout about it

When you've got to choose

Every way you look at it you lose

Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?

Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you, woo woo woo

What's that you say, Mrs. Robinson?

Joltin' Joe has left and gone away, hey hey hey

Hey hey hey

I know .... On the Leah Hickman page I said there would only be one more case posted in which I would comment, and express my opinions and theories. Well, what can I say? Every time I try to quit this pack of killers that I'm trying to deal with picks up the pieces and marches forward.

Now how they are all following my work and knowing what comes next, I don't have a clue .... unless it's all just some more of those confusing 'coincidences.' Well, the choice is yours. Decide whatever makes you happy, but I wouldn't expect too many answers within these murder cases if it were me doing the deciding.

As long as what I'm saying is seen as coincidence, and law enforcement continues to search for people of interest that don't even exist, then the real killer [and yes, I said killer, not killers] will continue on his merry way, and the dead bodies will pile ever higher.

With that said, here's the few things I've ran across concerning Mrs. Robinson's murder ......

Are They Clues Designed By The Killer

Or Merely Insignificant Coincidences?

Reports have indicated that Mrs. Robinson was beaten to death while in her bed, probably during the early morning hours of {{* 3/19/08.}} Although no one has said what the 'murder weapon' actually was, I'm wondering if it wasn't a 'ball bat' -- since the song mentions Joe DiMaggio, a professional baseball player.{{*See footnote #1}}

Continuing with the song, and assuming [as I do] that the remark left on Gretta Van Sustern's web blog gave the killer the idea for the Robinson murder, then we must also assume that he looked up the lyrics to the song, and therefore re-enacted as much of it as possible. Why, one might ask. Because he knew it would catch my attention, just like the re-enactment of songs and stories have caught my attention in several other murder cases.

The song continues: When you've got to choose, every way you look at it you lose." This shows us that Mrs. Robinson was 'chosen.' She was not a random strike. No one went into her home to rob her or to rape her or for any reason other than to kill her.... "Heaven holds a place."

"Hide it in a hiding place where no one ever goes." This is a most convenient line from the song, because it reminds me of the fact that Leah Hickman's murdered body was hidden in an area where no one ever went -- back into a crawl space from the basement laundromat. It's also a convenient reminder of how the 'Robinson affair' actually began -- "Coo Coo Ca Choo," on January 7th, 2008.

"We'd like to know a little bit about you for our files." I would imagine the 'police files' are thick by this time. I figure they have questioned anyone and everyone who was ever seen around Mrs. Robinson, and I would imagine their 'person of interest' file also contains many names ..... however, the song tells us that their efforts will be in vain .... "Look around you, all you see are sympathetic eyes." They will not look into the cold, unfeeling eyes of Mrs. Robinson's killer --- not unless they give up this crazy idea that everyone is murdered by someone they knew. Only then will they begin to understand the working of a ritualistic/symbolic serial killer; the likes of which has never before been seen.

Although most people will assume that the killer of Mrs. Robinson remains 'in the neighborhood,' or that he has been roaming around the neighborhood in hopes of seeing what's going on and perhaps learning if the cops are getting close to him, I simply do not believe this will prove to be the case.

After years and years of tracking this killer, it is my honest opinion that he sees himself as invincible - uncatchable. I believe he acted out his fantasy and moved on to the next piece of the puzzle -- "Joltin' Joe has left and gone away."

Mrs. Robinson's murder was the second Parkersburg, West Virginia murder in that same 42 day period. This is odd in itself ..... not simply because of the murders themselves, but because of the style of the murders.

There are precisely 42 days from the Petty murder to the Robinson murder. And as if this is not strange enough, it is exactly 2.2 miles from where Judith Petty was last seen and over to Mrs. Robinson's home.

Over the years I have found these two numbers within at least a dozen murder cases. And yes, they were all cases that I came to believe my suspect was involved in.

Beginning with the Leah Hickman murder in December of 2007, we now have 3 'in home' murders in West Virginia that appear to fit into the pattern that I've been following for several years.

Another very strange occurrence within all three cases is the birthday or anniversary factor. Two occurred on birthdays of people either in my family or my friends family. Only the Petty murder occurred on the anniversary of a cops murder. {See The Ray Clark story for more details}

6/5/08: This concludes my work on the Robinson case. I have given all that I have to give, and gave it freely and willingly. If it should be proven that my theory is wrong, then I will come back and post an update. Until then, I stand firmly on my own deductions and theory -- since it appears to be the only one that makes any sense at all in any of the cases mentioned on this page [and dozens of others.]

June 7th, 2008: Sindee Davis lives in **Jackson, Ohio now days. {{footnote #1}} March 19th is Sindee's mother's birthday.

During the time period that Sindee was packing to move to Jackson several things occurred at their home here in Washington County that have never been explained. Many of those things are mentioned on various pages of this web site, and are irrelevant to this story. However, there is one thing that did happen that I feel should be told on this page.

During the years that Sindee and I went places together she always carried a metal baseball bat in her car. It laid in the back window of the vehicle.

One reason Sindee carried the bat was because she liked to play baseball -- but another reason she carried it was because she had to drive a great distance to work, and much of the trip involved out of town roads on which there was little traffic late at night, and where the houses were sometimes spaced as much as a mile apart.

Sindee carried the bat for protection .... granted it would not have been sufficient against a gun or a knife, but she still felt it was a deterrent to crime.

One day, shortly before the move to Jackson was actually completed Sindee discovered that her ball bat was missing -- from her car -- from the family property. It has never been found.

During this same time period there was a man seen at a distance by several members of Sindee's family. One day he actually came out of the nearby woods and spoke with Sindee's little niece. He asked if her grandfather was home. The child, not knowing any better told the man that her grandpa had died.

This same man was seen several times on or near the Davis property. Sometimes it was broad daylight, but usually it was after dark -- and often times it was when Sindee and her mother were there alone.

Regardless of who saw the man, he was always described the same. Sindee and I both believed [and continue to believe] it was Wild Bill.

Also, during the same time period that the ball bat was stolen, a mysterious, computer generated death threat showed up in a box of news clippings concerning the Sheree Petry case. This too has been mentioned in greater detail on other pages of this web site, and some day, I'll get around to copying the paper and putting it up so everyone can see it for themselves. But for today, I'll just say that it was a death threat to me and Sindee.

Perhaps some people are not taking my 'stories' seriously. Maybe they think I'm exaggerating or even imagining things. I'm doing neither.

PS: Anyone out there missing a big brown and white rooster?? He showed up at my house on or about 6-03. He's a nice rooster --- but, I'd still like to know where he came from and 'why'!

Psychopathic Characteristics

There is a section on this web site titled Psychopathic Characteristics. The following quotes come from that page:

"Serial murderers include those men and women who operate within the confines of a city or a state or even travel through several states as they seek out victims. Consequently, some victims have a personal relationship with their killers and others do not, and some victims are killed for pleasure and some merely for gain. Of greatest importance from a research perspective is the linkage of common factors among the victims."

"Danto (1982) noted that most serial murderers may be described as obsessive-compulsive because they normally kill according to a particular style and pattern."

"serial killer: a person who commits a series of murders, often with no apparent motive and usually following a similar, characteristic pattern of behavior."

"The thrill derived from murder is a temporary fix. Like any other powerful narcotic, homicidal violence satisfies the senses for a time, but the effect soon fades. And when it does, a predator goes hunting."

"In interviews, many serial killers admitted that the people they killed fulfilled some aspect of a person that abused or taunted them. " {{ "Coo Coo Ca Choo" }}

"It is thought that any emotions which the primary psychopath exhibits are the fruits of watching and mimicking other people's emotions. They show poor impulse control and a low tolerance for frustration and aggression. They have no empathy, remorse, anxiety or guilt in relation to their behavior. In short, they truly are devoid of conscience. However, they understand that society expects them to behave in a conscientious manner, and therefore they mimic this behavior when it suits their needs. "

"As today becomes tomorrow, we must remember the words of Ted Bundy, one of the most ruthless serial killers of our time: "Most serial killers are people who kill for the pure pleasure of killing and cannot be rehabilitated. Some of the killers themselves would even say so" (qtd. in Holmes and Deburger 150). "

"By the late 1970s, after fifteen years in the business, Bob Hare knew what he was looking for when it came to psychopaths. They exhibit a cluster of distinctive personality traits, the most significant of which is an utter lack of conscience. They also have huge egos, short tempers, and an appetite for excitement -- a dangerous mix."

"The Psychopathy Checklist consists of a set of forms and a manual that describes in detail how to score a subject in twenty categories that define psychopathy. Is he (or, more rarely, she) glib and superficially charming, callous and without empathy? Does he have a grandiose sense of self worth, shallow emotions, a lack of remorse or guilt? Is he impulsive, irresponsible, promiscuous? Did he have behavioral problems early in life?"

"Psychopaths love chaos and hate rules."

"A significant proportion of persistent wife beaters, and people who have unprotected sex despite carrying the AIDS virus, are psychopaths. Psychopaths can be found in legislatures, hospitals, and used-car lots. They're your neighbor, your boss, and your blind date. Because they have no conscience, they're natural predators. "

"The con man works one-on-one," says Babiak. "They'll go after a woman, marry her, take her money, then move on and marry someone else. The puppet master would manipulate somebody to get at someone else. This type is more powerful because they're hidden." Babiak says psychopaths have three motivations: thrill-seeking, the pathological desire to win, and the inclination to hurt people. "They'll jump on any opportunity that allows them to do those things," he says. "If something better comes along, they'll drop you and move on."

"Psychopaths have low autonomic arousal. They don't react and don't show a lot of affection or emotion. They don't feel when or what other people feel."

"The most essential characteristic is an excessive need for power and control, and we see this in most of sexually oriented serial killers," Levin says. "They enjoy the suffering of their victims. It makes them feel special and important, like big shots."

"The last thing they would want to do is distance themselves. So they typically, like Rader, use up-close-and-personal methods to kill -- whether strangulation, stabbing, or bludgeoning," he says. "The killing is a mere footnote. The text has to do with the torture of the victim, hearing her scream. Pleading and begging for mercy makes the killer feel good."
