The Pancake Makin' Sheriff

Sheriff Mincks was in my kitchen making pancakes, and explaining to me that I couldn't be part of the 'regular' crew because of the surgery that I had a year ago, and I just wouldn't be able to lift as much as I might be required to lift.
A uniformed deputy sat at the table, while Mincks flattened out pancakes by hand [like one might flatten out hamburgers!].
"How much do you people have to lift?" I asked, but received no answer from either the deputy or the sheriff.
"What are you trying to do .... that's not how you make pancakes. That looks more like cookie dough than pancake batter." I said, as the sheriff placed the first dough-cake in the skillet.
"Is he making that for you?" I asked the officer at the table.
"You can't eat that ..... it will be raw in the middle and burned on the outside ..... you can't eat that. It will kill you." I continued.
Minck's turned from the stove, gave me a stern look and said ....
"Sit down and be quiet."
"I'll sit down, but I don't know about being quiet, and I can tell you right now, you aren't feeding me any of those so called pancakes!" I grumbled as I sat down across the table from the officer.
End of Dream
Larry Mincks has been our sheriff here in Washington County, Ohio for several years now. I have never met the man ..... never had any reason to meet him.
His daughter lives out the road from me and drives a Pontiac exactly like the one I used to drive ..... but I have no idea what that could have with me having a dream about the man ..... especially since I don't actually know his daughter and her family, although I did meet them one time a few years ago.
I don't know who the uniformed officer in the dream was, but don't think I've ever met the man before --- although, as things go in my world --- he'll probably end up sitting at my kitchen table sooner or later!
I just hope it's later than 'breakfast time' because I'm usually in bed asleep at that hour!

Anyone Wanna Flap-Jack?
I have no idea why I would dream such a dream. Perhaps it was simply a silly dream, that gave me a much needed chuckle ..... maybe.
If not, then the dream must have been to tell me something, and it certainly must have been something that was going to involve our sheriff's department, me, and perhaps something that happens early in the morning, or at least during the month of February.
I know, that's quite a vague 'time period,' isn't it?
However, it just so happens that there was something that happened earlier in the month - a girl came up missing - a Parkersburg girl, but one that I did take an immediate interest in because of another dream that I'd had earlier in the month.
If this dream involves that case, then I'm going to guess that before all is said and done, the Washington County Sheriff's Department will become involved in the case.
I suppose we will all just have to wait and see how it turns out .... then, I'll come back and show everyone how the dream 'revealed an answer' -- provided it wasn't just a silly dream, that is!
I MET THE DEPUTY, IN A KITCHEN!!!
This is going to be one strange case - I can tell everyone that right now.
Kimberly Jones is still missing - six weeks now, with no news of any kind.
On the evening of March 12, 2009, a friend of mine introduced me to a Wood County Deputy Sheriff, his wife and daughter. I was standing in a kitchen when we began talking about Kimberly's disappearance!
March 14th, 2009: I was talking to the same friend that had introduced me to the cop, and she said he was a really nice guy and actually worked security at a local pancake house!
"In uniform?" I asked immediately.
"Yes, he wears a uniform when he's working there," my friend replied.
To say I was surprised would be an understatement -- although, after all these years, one would think I'd know better than to be surprised at anything .... but especially at a dream panning-out right before my eyes.
