The six o'clock news brought me to my feet in a hurry.

Aubrey Alexander Davis has been identified as a suspect in the ten year old murder case of Ronda Ellen Manley.

Sources said that Davis had been identified as a suspect in the case after DNA evidence collected at the murder scene in 1992 matched that which was collected and sent to CODIS (the FBI's Combined DNA Index System) in May of this year {2002}.

Davis is currently serving a twenty year sentence in the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, Tennessee for the 1998 aggravated kidnapping and attempted aggravated sexual battery of a woman in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Charges against him for Ronda's murder are expected soon.
